Here’s the thing though, the people who have wronged us, do so, and move on to their next conquests.  They’re not thinking about us anymore.  It doesn’t matter if they did it 35 years ago, 19 years ago, or last month.  Why? Because they don’t care about us.  If they did, they wouldn’t have wronged us in the first place.  Their time and energy aren’t spent on us, so why do we spend our time and energy on them? Thinking about them?  Crying? Dwelling on them and what they’ve done to us?

Here’s the thing though, the people who have wronged us, do so, and move on to their next conquests.  They’re not thinking about us anymore.  It doesn’t matter if they did it 35 years ago, 19 years ago, or last month.  Why? Because they don’t care about us.  If they did, they wouldn’t have wronged us in the first place.  Their time and energy aren’t spent on us, so why do we spend our time and energy on them? Thinking about them?  Crying? Dwelling on them and what they’ve done to us?

I created this recipe for someone who can’t use bath bombs because she has an allergic reaction to all scents, including essential oils, EXCEPT for vanilla.  I call it my oatmeal, milk, and honey, but it smells like a yummy cookie!  I used vanilla oleoresin from Eden’s Garden, and while it’s not a true essential oil, and is a bit costly, it’s a good alternative for those who need something that doesn’t leave them sneezing, or who just want to smell like a yummy cookie after the bath!

Many people don’t understand there are other consequences of depression and other mental health disorders and diseases, other than the ultimate ones – suicide and homelessness. What about someone like me?  I live in a nice home, I have nice things, I have access to healthcare.  What consequences do I face?

This beautiful Rose Milk is the second bath bomb that I created.  I got the Wild Rose fragrance oil as part of a sampler from Bramble Berry and fell in love with the scent.  I just had to come up with a way to use it.  After seeing a maternity photoshoot with a mama-to-be in a milk bath with rose petals floating on top, I had my inspiration!  It’s a stunner for sure, and if you want to, you can add extra whole milk and fresh flowers to your tub for an even more luxurious bath.

I have a junk drawer;  I even have a junk cupboard – places for things that don’t have a place.  And, I had a dare-I-say-it, junk room.  I hated it.  As I cleaned the rest of the house things that didn’t have a permanent place just kept getting thrown into this room.  A room that has had several purposes over the last 7 years:  a formal dining room, a makeshift office, a nursery, a craft room.  I want it to be my office space.  A nice office with a real desk and real storage, but first I need to wrap my head around what to do with all the stuff that is in there now.

Depression robs me of the things I like to do the most – both hobbies and spending time with my family.  The thing is, that when someone gives me the push, or I find the motivation to engage in the things I enjoy even when I don’t really want to, I almost always feel better and I’m thankful that I did.
